Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft's version of Windows 7. [3] The version was released at CES 2011 on Windows NT 6.2. [4] It targets personal computers including home and business desktops, notebooks, netbooks, tablet PCs, servers, and media center PCs. Windows 8 wasn't discussed in detail in the early days of development, but the task list mentioned improvements to file access. In addition, it uses Internet Explorer 10. Initial notice
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2011, Microsoft announced on Windows 8 that it will add support for Intel and AMD's existing x86 microprocessors as well as ARM microprocessors.

Milestone Outflow
The 32-bit Milestone 1 7850 build was created on September 22, 2010. It leaked through P2P (Torrent) on April 12, 2011. The browser's ribbon interface, a PDF reader called Modern Reader, an updated Modern Task Manager, and native ISO image mount capabilities have been added.

The 32-bit Milestone 2 7927 build was leaked on August 29, 2011.

The 32-bit Milestone 2 7955 build leaked April 25, 2011. The build features a new file login and a new file system called ReFS, now known only as the "protogon", now only supported by the server version.

The 64-bit Milestone 3 7959 build was leaked on May 1, 2011. This build was the first leak of Windows Server 8 and the first build of 64-bit leaks.

The 64-bit Milestone 3 7989 build was leaked on June 18, 2011. SMS features, new virtual keyboards, new boot screens, default theme transparency, geolocation services, Hyper-V 3.0 and PowerShell are added.
